Biography:
Dr Riesenberg's education includes: Registered Nurse from St. John's Nursing School, Springfield, MO (1977), a bachelor's in psychology from Loyola University, Chicago, IL (1988), a Master's in Health Care Administration from the New School for Social Research, New York, NY (1996), and a PhD in higher education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2004), with an emphasis on leadership and program evaluation. In 2006, she completed the Medical Education Research Certificate (MERC), sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).
She has been on the faculty at SUNY Syracuse NY, served as a Director Medical Education and Designated Institutional Official (DIO) for Guthrie/Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre PA, been an Assistant Dean at the University of Texas, Houston Medical School, Houston TX, and currently is the Director of Medical Education Research and Outcomes at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, DE.
Dr. Riesenberg's research interests include medical education curricular innovations, evaluation methods, improving patient safety and quality through Graduate Medical Education, and conducting systematic literature reviews of related topics.
