Biography:
Dr Wright's education includes: a bachelor's in speech communications from West Chester University, West Chester, PA (1988), a Master's in Health Care Administration from West Chester University, West Chester, PA (1992), and an EdD in education from Wilmington College (1997). For the first 12 years of her healthcare career, she worked in healthcare administration managing and overseeing accreditation and regulatory compliance within all phases the environment of care, including serving as System Director for four hospitals in a prominent Pennsylvania healthcare system. In 2000, she switched careers to the banking industry, serving as Vice President for a major banking institution, primarily responsible for the acquisition of credit card portfolios and regulatory compliance within the banking industry. After 6 and half years in the business of Finance, she returned to and remains with her first love of healthcare administration, serving as Graduate Medical Educator at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, DE.

Dr. Wright has several publications linked with illiteracy and patient and healthcare worker safety, including a published dissertation entitled "Improving Workers Right to Know; Increasing the Comprehensibility of Material Safety Data Sheets". In addition, she has been an invited guest presenter for several lectures and workshops including AHME, May 2008.

Dr. Wright's interests continue to include corporate accreditation and regulatory compliance administration within Graduate Medical Education and the overall health care system environment.

May 5, 2010--More than 275 people from the health sciences research and education community turned out for the 2010 Delaware Health Sciences Alliance Conference on Tuesday, May 4, to share research and explore issues in health care.
UD and Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital to partner on bone disorder study
April 15, 2010--In search of a new treatment for the debilitating disease osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), a team of researchers from the University of Delaware and Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children is initiating a two-year study exploring the use of an FDA-approved vibration platform in children with OI.
Delaware Health Sciences Alliance awards two pilot projects

Dec. 11, 2009--A team that includes two researchers from the University of Delaware's School of Nursing -- Paula Klemm, professor of nursing, and Veronica Rempusheski, the Jeanne K. Buxbaum Chair of Nursing Science -- has been awarded a two-year, $600,000 grant to conduct research aimed at supporting older adults affected by cancer and their caregivers in Delaware.
